What are you doing right now??

Wife corrected me. Premiums go up 30-40 bucks.
Ani't that the truth. I renew our vehicle insurance every 6 months. The premiums go up 40-60 bucks every time.
does it really matter how much the premiums go up?

whether it be homeowners or auto, we get dinged every year.

no accidents, or no claims, but we suffer from the uninsured hit and runs, or something else.

when i was younger and sigle, my premiums were sky high, due to being a male.

i was told as i get older, married, blah, blah, blah, premiums go down.....

what a bunch of crock they sell us.

Unfortunately you are correct.

Got lucky the VA payed for my cataract surgery about three years ago. I took a friend to his cataract surgery yesterday he was told Medicare would cover it. Don't know if that amounts to 80% or covers it all.
it "seems like" a routine surgery nowadays, like appendix or brain removal.

back in the days of its infancy, sure it would have been more costly.

but so common these days, i hope too my medicare/blue cross pays for all of it, when that time comes.

This is just south of where I live……now watching radar……

is that something that every cataract surgery needs..??

i was told i have "the start" of cataracts, but nothing needs to be done now
Not really. Depends on the person.
My local eye Dr and my eye surgeon told me maybe 50% of folks develop membrane/scar tissue spot after having cataract surgery. Takes time to develop.

YAG was literally a 1 min procedure.
Numbed my eye with drops. Zap-zap. Was less intrusive than an annual eye exam. Out the door with sunglasses on. Recovery is zero. Just put med drops in eye for several days. Drove myself home 3hrs and was perfectly fine

Not quite sure what that procedure is, but hope all goes well, my wife is probably going to have her one eye zapped with a laser only after 2 years since she had her cataract done.
see, this concerns me...

we have surgery for the cataracts, yet the surgery doesn't last long?
See my note above.

Basically, cataract surgery may develop a membrane/scar tissue/haze on some spots of the new lens. Dr’s call it one of those 3 things depending on Dr. all the same meaning .

YAG is the quick zap of that scar tissue with a laser. Voila! Gone for good and set for life.

Yag is no surgery. Eye numb drops.
Put your chin on the pad like you would for doing a normal eye exam. Zap. Away you go. Was in/out of surgeons office in 25 min

Think what you're referring too was the laser flashing procedure I had. Still have old eyes but they're much better after the procedures. Have to use reading glasses.
