What are you doing right now??

Couldn't stay up for the entire game last night, but the offenses were something while I was. Lions won, but next Sunday's game will leave one 14 win team as a wild card. Gonna be some good college games in the next few days. This is a nice distraction from the news. Having coffee with IC while catching up on things. Be careful out there with New Years there will be idiots be they armed with cell phones or alcohol.

in fact we did just that, doctor was good explaining, but dad is contradicting the expected outcomes
they said his electrolytes are skewed and were giving him some sodium as well as potassium.
i can believe his potassium is low, he takes all kinds of supplements on top of his prescribed meds, that are for cholesterol, despite we showing him contra indicators for doing such non sense
at least doc took him off plavix for blood thinning, they took his leg last year from diabetes and had a heck of time healing the other foot, finally its healed... and he has a peg leg.. was doing very very well
then this event
they checked for concussion and that is what drove the cat scan at the ER and subsequent transport to the BIG hospital and they have done 3 now , plus the mri sometime tonight
i have to call and see how it went
he has to be forced to drink water, but his nurse is hmm persuasive, so he has been staying hydrated and eats,
I'm glad you have a good Dr. and medical team, that is a rare blessing. Would he tolerate an IV for fluids? Does he live alone do his own shopping to get supplements? It's tough when you have to be the parent. My husband died of diabetic issues-a week to the day after my dad-who married us, died of cancer. You are in a hard spot, keep us posted.

Awaiting time for a doctors appointment.

Refilled my Zippo lighter a wee bit too much and then did a bonehead move and placed it in my pocket. So of course some leaks out and causes the burning on the leg. Won't be the first or last time I have done this. Happy Tuesday...
been there ...on ship we used a dry cleaning solvent in lieu of lighter fluid , that stuff would flat burn your skin in a jiffy, then itch for days

OUCH is right
that looks painfull ..when i broke my foot a few years ago it was horrible

they gave me a BONE stimulation device that used 20 minutes a day to apply eddy current to the broken area to speed healing and bone regrowth...IT WORKED
insurance does not like it as its pricey ...but it works
now you can rent them vice purchase, which makes sense as its programmed to your needs and only need it for about 45 days
made by exogen

update
this morning he knew his name and had stopped being an assss to the nurses
i can say he is the most mellow person i know , my 60 years and he only yelled at me a few times, and i was a very trying teenager

he was so out of it on meds he was giving nurses heck last night

the mri says no stroke... but still24 hrs before they move him across to rehab to let the hole in leg artery heal and brain heal

he lives with MOM, both 82, live next door...
so thanks all for the well thoughts, today so far is better than yesterday

i read up on the MMA procedure...omg no wonder his body was freaking...they run the device up a leg artery through the heart then to the base of the brain...wholly cow
thats pretty invasive...i bet the heart was not happy either
