I'm glad you have a good Dr. and medical team, that is a rare blessing. Would he tolerate an IV for fluids? Does he live alone do his own shopping to get supplements? It's tough when you have to be the parent. My husband died of diabetic issues-a week to the day after my dad-who married us, died of cancer. You are in a hard spot, keep us posted.in fact we did just that, doctor was good explaining, but dad is contradicting the expected outcomes
they said his electrolytes are skewed and were giving him some sodium as well as potassium.
i can believe his potassium is low, he takes all kinds of supplements on top of his prescribed meds, that are for cholesterol, despite we showing him contra indicators for doing such non sense
at least doc took him off plavix for blood thinning, they took his leg last year from diabetes and had a heck of time healing the other foot, finally its healed... and he has a peg leg.. was doing very very well
then this event
they checked for concussion and that is what drove the cat scan at the ER and subsequent transport to the BIG hospital and they have done 3 now , plus the mri sometime tonight
i have to call and see how it went
he has to be forced to drink water, but his nurse is hmm persuasive, so he has been staying hydrated and eats,

been there ...on ship we used a dry cleaning solvent in lieu of lighter fluid , that stuff would flat burn your skin in a jiffy, then itch for daysRefilled my Zippo lighter a wee bit too much and then did a bonehead move and placed it in my pocket. So of course some leaks out and causes the burning on the leg. Won't be the first or last time I have done this. Happy Tuesday...
