wife is ironing some clothes right now, for the 2 of us, for later

we are going to do a "semi-date-night" for ourselves, and have a nice Italian dinner.

then after that, we will be going over to our sons house for a NYE party.

if all goes good, i'll be sound asleep in my sons recliner, maybe with one of the great grand babies drooling on me, by 10 pm.

Just came back from a walk with Maggie. Have not heard fireworks yet but it is very windy here today so far so good. These pills start to work 2 hours after taking them so by 5 pm I will give them to her hoping they don't start until at least 7. I really feel sorry for her, she really gets frightened by them. Hopefully she will sleep thru the whole thing.

fireworks here i am sure will starting at dusk and run till dawn...full monty
it gets old after a few hours

OUCH is right
that looks painfull ..when i broke my foot a few years ago it was horrible

they gave me a BONE stimulation device that used 20 minutes a day to apply eddy current to the broken area to speed healing and bone regrowth...IT WORKED
insurance does not like it as its pricey ...but it works
now you can rent them vice purchase, which makes sense as its programmed to your needs and only need it for about 45 days
made by exogen
Not painful as I am numb below the waist. That is a story for another time.
I will ask about that device. I need to recover asap. Thank you!

Please let us know how well those pills work. My big, bad a$$, man killing female German Shepard Aunt Bee is terrified of fireworks and thunder. My male GS Opie could care less. My wife and I will have to let the pups in early, since all the neighbors around here will be setting off fireworks. I hit the rack between 7 and 8, falling asleep to reruns of Gunsmoke. Guess that won't happen tonight.

My Beagle, Maggie Marie, goes nuts over thunder & fireworks. The other four sleep right through it.

gonna rain here tonight, fireworks usually go on no matter what.

at the very least, not a freezing cold for the revellers there.

i had to have 3 hammer toes straightened out a few years ago, good thing, it was the left foot, so i could at least drive.

but i had to wear a solid wooden soled boot for a while.

then of course the LOOONG pins in each toe...doctor wrapped up my foot real good, so the ends of those pins would not get "bumped", sending me into outer space with pains.

i hope your numbness is not due to a mashed (herniated) disk or 2..

yeah, been there done that too.

how about carpal tunnel....anyone needing that done too..???

let me tell you about THAT...!!!!!

update
this morning he knew his name and had stopped being an assss to the nurses
i can say he is the most mellow person i know , my 60 years and he only yelled at me a few times, and i was a very trying teenager

he was so out of it on meds he was giving nurses heck last night

the mri says no stroke... but still24 hrs before they move him across to rehab to let the hole in leg artery heal and brain heal

he lives with MOM, both 82, live next door...
so thanks all for the well thoughts, today so far is better than yesterday

i read up on the MMA procedure...omg no wonder his body was freaking...they run the device up a leg artery through the heart then to the base of the brain...wholly cow
thats pretty invasive...i bet the heart was not happy either
Been there, done that for heart & lung clots. Shots, needles etc don't bother me but that wire going into my thigh was horrible, got to watch on screen and really amazing. Sorry he had to go thru it and a blessing you are able to be so close with your folks.

Had the same thing with a 90% blockage in my right femoral artery. Watched the wire go through till an angio plasti opened blockage in the artery.

Hi,

Funny, here in southern WI I don't remember fireworks ever being a thing around here. Maybe because it's usually -10F...

Mrs. BassCliff and I were just talking about this. When I lived in the South we had fireworks for every holiday, all the holidays. Lots of crazy rednecks and Cajuns down there.
Otherwise, I just got back from my gig. We sang "Auld Lang Syne" at 4pm, because it's midnight somewhere. ;)

We'll bring in the New Year on our couch enjoying an adult beverage. I'm glad that I don't have to mingle with the amateur drinkers tonight.

Blessings of love, hope, peace, and joy to all in the New Year.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
