What are you doing right now??

It's interesting the show is using the Crow Tribe for their Indian subplot since the Crow Rez is much further east in SE MT vs. in the Bozeman/Butte and south area.

That area was generally a transition area between several tribes like the Shoshone to the south in Idaho, Salish to the west & Blackfeet to the north, although the Crow did venture west. But the Crow & Blackfeet were enemies & the Blackfeet were more powerful.

The "Bitterroot-Salish" were pushed out of that Butte/Bozeman south to Idaho area by the Blackfeet to find security in the Bitterroot Valley.

However, tribes from northern Idaho, namely the Nez Perce came east into the western Plains to hunt buffalo and trade, before the infamous 1877 "Trail of Tears".

Got coffee on board and dogs fed. Granddaughter will be here within the hour. Mrs Greener and granddaughter and I going to the big city for errands and then lunch. Still shopping for an air compressor.
Big rain today in front of cold front. Belladonna, your weather is down here causing trouble again it will be in the 20's tonight. Laying in more firewood this afternoon.

On a happy note, the two shelter cats I adopted 2 weeks ago and installed in the hay barn appeared yesterday. I have been leaving food and somebody has been eating it but my cats were hiding from me. I was concerned they had taken off for parts unknown. Mrs Greener went to the barn with me and called them and they showed themselves yesterday. Something about female voices. Mrs Greener shall henceforth be known as the Cat Whisperer.

Coffee with Cocoa Creme liqueur. It's not Irish Creme, but we got for Christmas. Can't let it go to waste.
The Lions pounded the Vikings last night and came out as the number 1 seed for the playoffs.
It's supposed to get cold here in a couple of days, so reloading and gun cleaning are on tap while it's still nice. I have a heater for the garage, but I think the subwoofer takes enough juice to knock it out. Warm or bass? Hmmmm.

not sure what my day might bring, so planning a little. USD is down some and due to quite a few things. - Mr T might be backing away from a total tariff posture, Trudy up north might step down, the Euro zone is dead and their economies are collapsing, Mr Xi might make a move for Taiwan pre Trump and so. Lots to consider - everyone - watch your portfolios carefully. Have a good week.

Lots of stuff going on, but there is a feeling of optimism coming for the new year. The usual suspects are trying to do their best to retain their cover despite the curtain being pulled back for all to see. Anything will be better than what we put up with these past 4 years. A pox upon the evil doers.......... Shoot straight.

Well they want us to come in this morning at 10 AM. There's 8" of snow on top of ice ( on average) around town so there's no chance they will be sending trucks out. So they want us to come in and sit in the yard. I called in sick. We got a lot more ice down here than they did up there. I'm not getting stuck in a ditch to come and sit in that yard with all those D-bags.

So, after coffee I'll go out back and clear out some snow and ice around the feeders so the birds don't have to dig through the snow. Right now there's about 30 birds out there on the suet feeders and digging around in the snow under the now frozen/ice covered seed feeders. Then I'll shovel sidewalks and driveways and paths between the buildings.
Got a couple packages coming today from Sprinco and Amazon. Highly doubt those make it. It's not like the road I live on gets plowed.

I remember the time I went to work after a snowstorm. I had to get out of my car at every intersection because I couldn't see over the snow piles. I got to work and discovered the door was locked. Apparently they made an announcement over AM radio, but I didn't listen to that on my way there. We had a provision for show up time, but you had to enter the premises to get it. :( We left that type of cold behind. I didn't miss working on the car at 80 below wind chill or the 2 feet of snow on Christmas Eve when I had a broken ankle. Now I complain when it gets below 60 for a high.
