Glad he is home, no better place to mend, you both now can rest much better! After spending since Thursday at the VA hospital, we are finally home. Got him into the guest bedroom (lower mattress on the bed and a higher toilet in the bathroom). He’s all tucked in and loaded up on pain meds. I’m monitoring him until midnight when he needs the next dose. His surgery went very well, he just had a problem with coming out of the anesthesia, and his sutures broke twice. So I’ve busted out the scrubs for the next few weeks anyway. The most stressful part is over, I can deal with the rest here. When this is all over I may sleep for a month.
