What are you doing right now??

I know how you feel! My lady died similarly although it started off slow with coughing and difficulty breathing. Living only 10 minutes out in the country and driving 120 mph was still too far... ended up doing CPR on the roadside with a deputy who showed up like an angel, but it wasn't enough... 2 years after & I'm still destroyed at the thought of it all. 😭
I'm so sorry for your loss...

I'm sorry that Belt Fed and recurtner are having a hard time, but both of you are there giving your wives total support which is what good husbands do. Several weeks ago my sweetheart suffered a heart attack at home and died in my arms while I was doing chest compressions. The EMTs did their best to revive her and took her to the ER where the docs told me what I already knew when I arrived. I'll pray for positive outcomes for your wives and for the man upstairs to give the both of you the strenght to weather life's trials.
Thanks for your kind remarks. While my situation was a real pain in the butt it doesn't compare to what you went through with your sweetheart, my condolences.

Hi,

Please accept this in the spirit in which it was intended. For all of you in need, to remind us of where our ultimate comfort comes from:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (NASB1995)

Thank you for your indulgence,

My GS Opie. He got sick of having to deal with my female GS Aunt Bee, and went way out into the backyard under a shade tree to get away from her female BS. I hear you boy! That's a full on "resting face"! lol

This was actually yesterday but am now posting. Out of the blue, my wife said she wanted to go to the range and do a little shooting. Since it had been a long while since she shot last, I said let's go! I wasn't set up or ready to take any of my guns to the range, so I was just her magazine loader. She brought both her S&W EZ 9mm and .380 along. I had to make sure I kept ammo and magazines separate so they wouldn't accidently get mixed together. She shot around 200 rounds of 9mm, and around 100 rounds of .380. She has severe arthritis in her hands, and the EZ pistols are a lot easier for her to rack the slide. I'm trying to convince her to check out a S&W Equalizer. I shot 1 magazine out of each but she shot the rest. I was just there for morale support and loading magazines! lolView attachment 78022
I have arthritis too, but fortunately it hasn't spread to my hands & wrists... I can still enjoy magnum power like my 10MM. I say MM instead of mm because the 9 is small and the 10 is not, LOL.

TRUTH.

He understands our travails because He has been in all points likewise tempted, and experienced sorrow. It is no stretch to say He feels our pain, for He has done that and more. Whatever we're feeling, He has felt, and did so much more than we will ever comprehend. Oh what a friend we have in Jesus!! (Heb. 4:15, Isa. 53:3)

I'm reminded of the old hymn,

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Smokin cigarettes and drinking coffee. Spent the day at my newly widowed sister in laws cutting up a giant poplar that fell in the storm. It was a big bastard. Smashed the log splitter and a trailer along with a good chunk of chain link fence. The splitter will live. It bent the gussets that hood the piston horizontal. So a quick fix with a welder and a few pieces of steel. The rest is more extensive.
