What are you doing right now??

oh joy...i just had to make an appointment for today, for a Sears home tech to come over and check out the gas dryer.

that "gasket" (maybe its a felt gasket..???) at the rear of the drum is slapping inside the machine, and the drum is a little loose.

its an old machine though, but we cannot afford to buy new, and i'll never buy used, and get someone else's problems..

so, we gotta keep the old running.

looks like he might be here around 11.
After you get the price of the service call then the price to repair, a new one might make more sense, just saying.

I'm waiting for doctor today to call me with results of last blood work. Honestly, I really don't care anymore.
Really thought I would never see 21 much less my current 77. Have a few medical issues but I guess many folks my age have much more serious problems and are fighting to keep going. My wife is fighting cancer, has strong faith and I want to be here for her as long I can. Hang in there NMEDGE.

well i can agree somewhat...

however, these machines are "mechanical" and as such, no wired circuit board controls..

plus, the washer and dryer were made in america.

its gonna cost me $300 for the part and repair labor, so i'll pay that.

the part will be shipped to me, and the guy will be here on the 23rd.

we can still use the dryer, it'll just make some noise he said, but it is usable for the house.

the wife and i priced out a set, and the dryer must be gas, which adds to the cost.

the washer must be a top loader, and if possible, not equipped with the circuit board electronics.

average prices are hovering around $1,500, then delivery fees'

we just can't do that

it would not make sense to buy a single unit (dryer only), since both machines are the same age.

"cheaper" to pay for a repair when we are on SS.

but yes, i can agree somewhat about a new set of machines.

Got the call from my doctor and it was a mixed bag. My diabetes is well controlled and my A1C was 6.8 which is good. My urine had protein in it so he has given me another pill and wants me to see a kidney doctor. I hate going to see doctors. I feel they are experimenting with me. Will call kidney doctor to make appointment tomorrow. My doctor said he has sent them the referral. We will see. I feel good but I do need to get this checked out. There might be a simple answer to it, we will see. Husky say I am fine, I just need to eat more bacon beggin strips!

I should add I have been a diabetic for over 20 years. They diagnosed me not to long after I retired from the military. It just gets old having to watch what I eat, checking blood, and using insulin every single day. Somedays I just want to scream! Rant over

I've been a type 1 for 50 years. I sympathize...I have a number of complications typical of the condition. As I get older I find it less interesting to care about those complications. If you have family, do it for them....

The protein is called creatin, as of now mine runs 1.6 to 1.8, which is high due to only my one kidney and the Keytruda, just make sure you drink enough water. Saw my nephrologist today which is a kidney doctor and she is very satisfied with my labs, you take care sir and I am sure your be fine.
