entering day 11 of my truck doing crazy transmission things and stuck at the dealer in purgatory.
ford is sending a new one in now, that the valve body change and computer update removed the original complaint and created 2 new ones
gone is the Drive to Reverse wait for it.....wait for it ...ok i am in reverse, then the reverse to drive WAIT FOR IT ........... here it comes....nooooo NOW drive

and the 4th to 5th FLAAAAAAAARRRRRRREEEE uncouple rpms climb then BAM i got 5th


now we have wont shift into 8th or 9th or 10th
but slowing it drops to 3rd hard enough to lock up rear tires and skidddddooooo a bit

i think something is NOT happy inside

but hey the good news is now i have test driven 4 new models as loaners and will be drafting an in depth review of each on for edmunds

Holy crap, what a night and day. had tp preform a medical procedure on the wife that would be gross to talk about, Nurses must be Angels to do that everyday. but any way what i did finally worked and then off to the races to fix a water leak before all the ice hits tomorrow, get that fixt. then off to home depot to buy a new toilet. the tank on one of ours busted. so pull old one up and clean up and put new one down. i just got sit down. this old geezer is tired. now off to the recliner. been up since 4 this mornin, well actually about all night. may pull an old me here in a bit.

Now arriving today 6 PM - 8 PM​

imma gonna be awake till midnight.....!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY arrived at 6:10...!!

now i can go to bed like a normal person at 7:45......well, maybe tonight...7:59

give us back 3 or 4 speed automatics..this BS of 6, 8, 10 speed automatics just isn't working out.

i had a 2019 toyota camry, with the 8 speed automatic...good thing it was a lease, cuz i turned it in early, took the equity in the payments and got a 2022 corolla paid outright in cash.

my first camry had the 6 speed automatic, and it was flawless

all for "gas mileage"........BS......!!!!!!

just like electric cars..."if it ain't PERFECTED, DON'T BUILD THEM and push them onto us"...!!!!!!!

i ordered this saturday, it was supposed to be delivered sunday.....(in stock, next day delivery)

Sounds like a lawsuit, or at the least a buy back option. New or not, I wouldn't trust that truck with all those problems. I'd unload that lemon back on the dealer and try all over again, at their or the company's expense. But that's just my opinion. You do what is right for you.

that option in the house has been discussed
i have not lost patience....but its getting thinner by the day
i still think the rodent eating wires may have something to do with it....
FORD corporate involved has helped before with a battery thing

so hopefully they move the ball closer to the cup or find me a replacement
bad thing is i have a gig in north bama in march that requires a whole bunch of my tools to be with me
so i need the truck or a penske van
doing some restoration on an old navy bird...its pretty important as it is one i worked on waaaay back in the day

Time to get rid of that lemon. Tell dealer you want to turn it in under lemon law. That thing is going to give you problems forever!

The only bonus to these temps is that the weather is clear. Once the sun comes out it warms up everything with windows. (As long as there isn’t a wind)

i forgot where i posted about me taking my ccw qualification test today, so anyways....

i scored a 222 points, out of a perfect 300

passable, as the lowest score is at 195.

25 yards or 75 feet, which is BS, that's murder charges if you shoot someone that far away, but here, it is what it is.....

hopefully tomorrow morning (wednesday the 19th) I can drop off the application renewal at the police dept for the chiefs "stamp of approval"


you only get 30 shots, in 30 minutes of time, and i took my shots slow, as i was in no hurry to get done.

I've just returned from the range, where I concentrated solely on single handed shooting with a handheld flashlight. Strong hand I actually shot much better than expected. Weak hand? Oh, my. One box of "left-handed" ammunition was plenty in proving how woefully pitiful my skill is. There'll be an extra box of ammunition in the range bag for a while.

Sitting here looking at the sunshine and seeing that it is 13 degrees with a wind chill of 0 and the high will only be 17 degrees at the most. Then also it is supposed to start snowing. Calling for 3 - 5 " . I know that isn't a lot of snow for some of the folks here but for us that is a little above average snow fall.

I woke up to about an 1.5" on the ground yesterday morning and we got about an inch last night. But being Southern Illinois , it is supposed to be in the mid 50's by Monday.
