For the same money I’d go with the Mossberg 940 Pro Tac. And I’m a Beretta shotgun guy.

I purchased an 870 when I was a mere lad
And I’ve always hunted with my Remington
I do like the a300 albeit there are some changes that need to be made as in the extension tube and the polymer tube to barrel holder need to be changed out asap

One thing that can't be changed on the Beretta A300 is the stock.
Feature for feature the Mossberg wins in my opinion. $830 range. Mesa makes an Urbino for it and there are other aftermarket options. Drilled and tapped for an optic, widened, beveled loading port, oversized controls. It's a nice gun.

try a m&p, as in get hands on and see if you like the fit. if you find a factory ported barrel you WILL like how flat it shoots, even with +p ammo!I'm thinking I have to buy something firearms related...soon.
