What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I bought a pair of Mechanix FastFit Tactical shooting gloves and a pair of First Tactical light shooting gloves from OpticsPlanet back on September 15th (before I found the 5.11 ones at Sheels). They were set to ship on October 18 (today). I thought that was a bit of a long wait, but I had found the 5.11s so I was okay with it. Well, then yesterday I get an email saying that the new ship date is October 28. That's a little excessive IMO. Lesson learned. OpticsPlanet ships optics really fast, that impressed me in the first place...but I will never buy anything from them again that isn't an optic. If they don't have an item ready to ship within 7 days, they should just say so. I just had to get that out there. Anybody else experience this kind of wait with them?

I've heard bad reviews of their customer service, but I never had any issues with them. Admittedly the only thing I ever bought from them was optics. Most likely they were in stock since they weren't optics that were hard to find somewhere else.

I've bought a few pairs of the Mechanix gloves from local auto parts stores. You can try them on first there. I have several pairs of 5.11 comp pro or whatever they're called. Far superior for me.


October 28th is my 22nd wedding anniversary.

Is the 28th a typo or 18th , as in today ?

Cause your anniversary isnt for 10 days if so if 28th ????

I’m quite happy with the 5.11s so I’m not in a rush for the other ones. I’m just not going to order anything but optics from them.
