Telling the truth? Or fomenting hate? Or I'd tend to agree but I think it is more complicated than that.

In 1980 about 20% of people could only read at a 6th grade level. Today that number is 54% (google it.) That means two things: more than half of Americans can only learn by being spoken to, and they have to way to check the claims they have heard. In other words, they're gullible and easy to cheat. They're also the people who only read headlines of stories on the internet.

It seems that with these illiteracy rates, one can only win by fear, not by facts. And Republicans have a lot of experience with promoting fear. Democrats don't, except on the fringes.

Another factor is that fools imagine that a dictatorship won't dictate to them. Ask the FOP how that's working out.

Anyway, this is a much bigger discussion. Good talk.

Well, for starters you’ve made the word racist meaningless by using it inaccurately as a club to beat your political opponents with because in most cases your arguments are ridiculous. But also because your arguments are stupid. Ironic you bring it up. French isn’t a race. It’s a nationality.

You can't seriously not understand my point. You're just trying to prevail by word parsing.

But your silliest claim is that racism didn't exist until people started calling it out. It gas always been widespread among white people and also POC groups. And your explanation is a favorite among white-supremacist groups and dock rats.

So why don't you get back on topic.

Ok, just to get this thread killed sooner, the most racist people I've met through my entire life are not white.
