Mass Shooting in Maine

Ok, what’s your point here?

That Trump should y be prosecuted for things he’s done just because someone else is…

Oh, wait. Hunter Biden IS being prosecuted for things he did.

So, what exactly is your point?
Speaking of point, I'm not sure what yours is on this besides uncontrollable trembling lower lip when the word Trump is mentioned. Relax bud, no need to go on the attack every time.

Let's set the red mist aside and simply read what @Snake45 has said: the government giving itself absolute power is a bad idea. Yes, the Hunter Biden vs. Donald Trump treatment is ABSOLUTELY double standards: one is fabricated lawyer-ism to interfere with an election, the other is a cover up by agencies who decided to let it slide but come down hard on everyone else. And let's not even talk about the dad. IRS, FBI, ATF would need 1% of the evidence they have to knock your door down and drag you to the gallows or worse. It's taking a scary turn as we know full well if "the other side" ever gets in power, they will have a free pass to do the same. Difference is you'd probably see a lot of buildings burned and Nike stores pillaged.

There are no winners at our level, just medieval serfs if we support or applaud this malfeasance.

PS: Knowing the mods, your post will remain and mine be deleted for politics or arguing or any other lame excuse, I know, proves the point further at a micro scale ;)

It's getting more and more Bourne Identity-esque, according to this guy's family. Not necessarily a crazy theory when we know the types of "studies" that have been conducted in the past. This is CBS News BTW.

"Firearms Instructor" is mentioned all the time. To be honest, that means nothing: practically anybody can be a "firearms instructor", takes $600 and a 2-day weekend class and off you go, you are a certified USCCA firearms instructor. It is shocking, and utterly irresponsible, but not unique to this "industry", you see 20 year old private pilot "instructors" crashing on a monthly basis, killing themselves and their student.

You get it, My New Best Friend. ;)

Let us try to not derail this thread and get it :poop: canned. We almost never get to have conversations about this kind of stuff because someone ends up taking it too far afoul of the forum rules.

Stay on point hosers. :ROFLMAO:
Fair enough.

I'm curious about many things on this event, starting with where was the Police Dept? Doesn't seem like a single shot was fired by any cop?!?!?!

This guy walked in shot a bunch of people went back to his car, drove to another place, shot a bunch of people then went back to his car, drove to a dock, ditched his car at a dock and took his boat... Not a single police intervention?

These things happen so quickly that unless an officer is present when it starts it is probably over by the time officers arrive. Initial 911 calls are often erroneous and confused, and might not have included any useful description of the shooter or his vehicle. It is a small town so I surmise there were very few officers on duty who could respond. The sooner you can saturate the scene with officers, the sooner you can determine if you still have an active shooter, or just a crime scene and EMS response. The faster you can get an investigation underway the sooner a picture of what happened emerges. Once the cavalry arrives it is usually an after the fact investigation and fugitive hunt.

Most active shooters do not expect to survive, anticipating being killed by police or by their own hand. Most have a sense of having lost control of everything in their lives and of being victims, whether irrational or not. Killing a lot of people gives a perverse sense of being powerful, in control.

Many will commit suicide once confronted by police, in effect
exercising ultimate control of their own death. It is a key reason we teach people to have a plan to get it reporyed quickly and to survive an active shooter for 10 minutes, to give police time to arrive on the scene.

It remains to be seen whether he made an escape, or will be found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot. My wager is on the latter.

i can bring up Uvalde..the cops WERE there...and did nuffin......

so it's 6 of one, half dozen of something else....to me, a bunch of cowardly lions, best suited for a musical rendition of Wizard of Oz.

You mean these heroes? Only thing they could do it tackle the parents outside of the school.

I'm not sure what the situation was in Maine, so we can't necessarily judge, but one guy with one riffle freely shooting a dozen people and moves on to the next location without interruption seems unbelievable.

yeah, those awesomely, brave, non-fearing of death HEE-rows.....

jackasses, each and everyone one of'em, including of course the chief...

what "surprises" me about the Maine shootings, is that Maine residents can carry with out a permit....and so...no one at any location had a gun on him or her..??

Effective October 15, 2015, Public Law 2015, Chapter 327 (LD 652), “An Act To Authorize the Carrying of Concealed Handguns without a Permit,” allows a person who is not otherwise prohibited from possessing a firearm to carry a concealed handgun in the State of Maine without a permit. This law also authorizes a person to possess a loaded pistol or revolver while in a motor vehicle, trailer or other vehicle being hauled by a motor vehicle.

no one that is NOT a cop, wants to be a dead hero, but no one carrying was at either place?

you're already ducking for cover, and have a possible bead on the shooter..???

i dunno, arm chair quarter backing i guess, on my part.

I'm thinking this guy got in his boat, went down the river to a secluded spot and offed himself. It could be quite a while before they find what's left of him. They may not find him at all.
Meanwhile, let's all stay in panic mode just like MSM wants us to. 🤬
another reason to keep people in their homes... and let MSM scare everyone and uncle fall up the stairs try to run another agenda to ban firearms.
