This perspective gave me pause https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/interactive/2023/ar-15-damage-to-human-body/
Not enough to be relevant.I’m gonna stop you right there.
How many mass shooters have identified as “Christian” compared to this?
The shooter was a biological female choosing to be identified as a male, according to the news, but it is early into the investigation, things could changeI just heard on TV it was a 'trans' woman ..... now I'm under the impression that a trans woman is a man who wants to be a woman, not a legitimate woman. My god folks, where is all this going? Even though there may be more guns per capita than there were a few decades ago, the guns and the functionality of those guns have not changed, other than in cosmetics. But something sure as hell has changed over those same few decades.
We all agree these type shootings are a real tragedy .... some would even say it's the price we pay for living in a free society. I'm not sure it's a price that needs to be paid at all. Take criminal use with any gun seriously and take the criminal out of society ... period! That won't end it all, but will certainly reduce the number of 2nd offenders. Then rethink the mainstreaming of those with mental illnesses. It's sad these people have the issues they do, but as long as they are put back into the general public, these type tragedies will continue.
Now I'm not saying everyone with any semblance of a mental illness is in this group. Only that it has to be apparent to anyone who will think it through, that those who do these type of things (mass shootings of kids) are not rational, sane, nor sensible people. Likely it's not their fault, but neither is it the fault of society in general. So the question becomes should they be turned back out into the public and asked to continue with their meds when we typically know they won't, or maybe can't. Should society in general be obliged to endure the insanity that some bring?
I don't have the answer, but I know I'm as sick of these senseless shootings as anyone. I'm also a hard core supporter of the right to keep and bear arms. I do not believe that infringing on any pro-gun owner's rights will reduce these shootings. But to debate it to the other side makes us all look like brutes that have no sympathy for these defenseless kids. Just this morning I was attacked verbally and accused of being a "gun nut" who cares far more about my guns than about the "lives of children". I've got to tell you, that hurts deeply, but I know to the other side that's exactly how it looks.
I've said time after time, you design any law that negatively impacts the criminal, crazy, or druggy, with no negative impact to the law-abiding and I'll support it 100%. But if it in any way negatively impacts the law-abiding, I'll fight it by every legal means available.
And the one shooter who was trans is relevant for what reason exactly? Not enough to be relevant.
Guess we now know she was transgender.Very unusal to have a female shooter
I bet you 8 out of 10 in the USA have been Christian. That is certainly statistically relevant, whether you want to believe it or not.Not enough to be relevant.
In 2021 it was under 7 out of 10 identify as "Christian", "by far the largest proportion, 69%, identify with a Christian religion, including 35% who are Protestant, 22% Catholic and 12% who identify with another Christian religion or simply as a "Christian." . Up to about 2010 it would have 8 or more out of 10.I bet you 8 out of 10 in the USA have been Christian. That is certainly statistically relevant, whether you want to believe it or not.
This is the second. The first one was a "non-binary" who did the shooting in the drag queen club. The relevancy here, is that this is from a group that is not only forcing their fantasies on children, they claim that they are "normal" and "caring". They also claim that THEY are the ones who are victims, who are being persecuted, who are in danger from those that don't agree with them. And the very same group that glorifies and is pushing child mutilation, just had one of their own go in and slaughter innocent children. Why is this relevant? Because, every time a shooting happens, they automatically go to "it is a WHITE, right wing, GOD loving EXTREMIST". Do they not?And the one shooter who was trans is relevant for what reason exactly?
Yeah. That math is off. This is the second. The first one was a "non-binary" who did the shooting in the drag queen club. Over just over 20 years from the beginning of January 1998 through today, there have been 69 killers committing 66 mass public shootings in the United States where at least four people have been killed. Of those attacks, just four have been identified as Christians, with just three clearly regular churchgoers. With 70 percent of Americans identifying themselves as Christians and over 33 percent going to church at least once a week, those numbers are a long way away from the 48 or 23 we would respectively expect.

So mental problems. And add into the mix that the shooter today was a transgender "woman"
Ah, wasn't aware being transgender was a religion, I always assumed it was a medical condition... Learn new things everydayI’m gonna stop you right there.
How many mass shooters have identified as “Christian” compared to this?
7 out of 10 citizens. I’m pretty sure the percentage of mass shooters who are Christian is higher than that. But let’s say it is 7 out if 10, is that more palatable. I don’t think so.In 2021 it was under 7 out of 10 identify as "Christian", "by far the largest proportion, 69%, identify with a Christian religion, including 35% who are Protestant, 22% Catholic and 12% who identify with another Christian religion or simply as a "Christian." . Texas has closed most of its mentalA Psychologist pointed out that for a hundred years there were mental institutions and the like .
Most have gone away , but those in a state of mind for those institutions has not gone away
Completely depends on your definition of a mass shooting. I'd say about 99% of them don't give AF about religion at all.7 out of 10 citizens. I’m pretty sure the percentage of mass shooters who are Christian is higher than that. But let’s say it is 7 out if 10, is that more palatable. I don’t think so.
