Even Buzz comes with a manual….😬

I got ya.

I’m with the other quotes.
Sucks they stopped, but the smart phone has taken over our lives and it is what it is. I caved years ago to that.

I miss my Chilton auto manuals in hard cooy
I guess I do t want to that bad I did print one off the phone so I have a hard copy . And I just got a memo saying the manual is back in ready to ship so I thought I will use my sig discount for registering the gun on line manual was 6 bucks shipping was 10 dollars no thanks I am good 👍

For you guys that don't have three arms:
When your hands have gun oil on them, how do you pan and zoom on your phone while you're holding your rifle in one hand and the firing pin in the other ?

Yeah, point taken, you're right. I did NOT need a picture when I disassembled and put it back together the SECOND time. But by then I'd sworn off buying cheap-asz guns.

I'm sure you guys that think you're so much more tech-savvy than i am think you're clever, but your assumptions that I'm stuck in the last century just make you guys look like, uhh, that you, uhh, don't know what you're talking about.

Which hi-tech companies were YOU writing software for ? I started on machine language before most of you were born.

Other than that, thank you for your help. Have a drink on me. It's been a riot.

No one thinks they're more tech saavy than you. Or at least no one thinks it takes tech saavy to print off a manual or look at one on-line.

To answer your initial question, I generally have a firearm in a vice or laying on a pad on my bench. And if I am consulting a manual I can just read it. More often it is a video I am watching on my phone or a laptop. One tap and the video is paused. Cheaters ( reading glasses) are a must for me. How are your eyes ? Do you wear glasses ?

Do you wear glasses ?
Funny ! Part of my battle was keeping my glasses from falling off !

I was in the house when I was playing with the gun that nite, not in the shop (i haven't been in the shop for awhile, actually). The rifle is new. I'd started to take it apart while watching TV. I'm kinda sick, and I'd just got back from being poisoned in a clinic for treatment of a disease, and I'm having surgery soon.

I'm hoping to be able to shoot my new rifle before November. And I'm not exactly happy about it.

Does it show ?

Ar15's are a piece of cake to field strip. once you do it you will not need any manual for one ever again. just look a YT vid and do it and you'll see it's very easy. i'm so old i had to learn to field strip one before paper was invented.

Must be feeling self conscious if you think everyone here is stating they are more tech saavy than YOU.

I always have a video up or a PDF file up on a monitor above the workbench when i'm working on something new or something im unfamiliar with / trying to figure out. Frees up my hands and bench space. I can check multiple sources if a particular video or set of instructions isn't working for me.

For someone who's been coding since before any of us were born, you sure seem to operate in a pretty non-tech saavy way. I'll take that drink though.

ARs pretty much all break down and go back together the same. Some small differences sometimes but once you’ve done it once you’ll have it.

I can’t speak for the Hellcat but I assume it’s the same as other striker fired guns. Which is dead easy. I doubt you will have any problems.

Must be feeling self conscious..
Spare me.

It would be uncool of me to announce how I think YOU must be feeling about YOURself.

It didn't occur to me I'd need a manual to break down a simple rifle like an AR-15 until I tried to replace the firing pin.

I like to have a manual with me when I go shooting in the woods. Old habit. I always have been like that since i had to quit shooting because the pistol quit working and i was a half-hour from a paved road.. I've been like that for decades. Even before i had my Commodore64.

Even now some places don't have cell coverage

I await your clever helpful response.

Not really.
