What are you doing right now??

I skipped Joe's fantasy script last night, I figured I would get snippets reported later. I would have needed a barf bag if I watched it live.
I read a few articles this morning that proved me right. We watched Once Upon a Time in the West last night instead and made the better choice.

Like I said before, it was a Gunsmoke night. That's just about every night. I fall asleep to it.

Coffee in and dogs fed. Today is going to be a better day.

Laugh with me. Yesterday the power passenger seat on The Cat Whisperer's Volvo quit working. It is stuck in the reclined position. On my way home from lunch with the posse she informed me the PVC pipe in the pump house has sprung a leak. I got soaked when I went to look and turn off the pump. Fortunately I keep a bunch of spare parts and pipe and glue for emergency repairs. We came in the house to wait 2 hours for glue to cure, and discover the LG refrigerator had quit, dead. So I spent an hour on the warranty service line with a woman in Asia who speaks really poor Engrish. Not known for my patience, picture me still wet from plumbing repairs trying to communicate in broken English for an hour. Talking louder does not help and I was scaring the dogs. They claim they will send a service tech in 24-48 hours. I am cautiously optimistic.

We moved everything out of the fridge into the fridge in now vacant rental. On the positive side we found a lot of stuff in the freezer from the last century that is now in the dumpster.

After the luck of the day I was sure I did not want to go on the highway. We ended the day with a lot of laughs drinking scotch and watching Clarkson's Farm.

Hi,

It snowed an inch or two last night. Big woop. I have a 9:30 call time this morning for a duo gig. I must try to get going early to allow for crazies on the interstate. Then I'll have worship team rehearsal this evening. I'm supposed to be retired.

Let's have a great day!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

At least you kept your sense of humor. I know I would have lost my mind!

Coffee. Have to walk to the rental for breakfast stuff, still have not heard from LG warranty tech for the fridge. The replacement pressure switch for my new DeWalt compressor came last night, will be replacing that today. The Cat Whisperer's passenger seat in her Volvo is still stuck in the reclined position and she has an appointment at the dealer-for January 30. Everything with tech seems to be failing. Where is the QC? If manufacturer's can spend so much on warranty service, why not just make things right in the first place? It must just be cheaper to replace stuff than to have competent QC. On the bright side, 9 y.o. granddaughter will be here shortly for school transport. We will watch an Attenborough documentary on some exotic critters before school.

At my age and growing up with television in the 50's, I probably have seen most westerns that have appeared on the little and big screen. My secondary film passion is sci-fi and that came along with 1953's War of the Worlds with its color and sound effects. To this day, I don't think any film has matched it. When humour has been injected into all genre's, albeit small bits, then it makes them all the better. Earlier this week I discovered that the series Farscape was showing all four years + a movie to tie up the loose ends on one of my Samsung free TV channels. This series takes from several different genre's. A little romance, a lot of shoot-em up action and some great comedic lines. Thankfully, the entire series is being shown again so I can catch up on some episodes I missed while watching some football.
So to answer the OP question, I am binging on Farscape. Being on oxygen due to a lung disease, it is difficult to get around as much as I used to, but hopefully in a few weeks will get a more compact oxygen generator so I can get out more.
Almost forgot...lack of oxygen to the brain does that... I ran across an old sci-fi flick called 'Tarantula' with Leo G. Carroll, Topper from that TV series, but the interesting thing was the fighter pilot who shot rockets and dropped napalm on the humongous Tarantula to obliterate it... It was none other then Clint Eastwood, in an uncredited role.

Had two cups and most of the news. Loaded shotgun, consolidated partial bullet boxes and tumbled a crapload of brass yesterday. Two people can go through a bunch of ammo in a month's time. I should have cleaned the rifles, but my neck was talking back. Gonna be colder today so I may not get a round tuit. ;)

Speaking of sci-fi enthusiasts...cement truck crashed, the tank was too heavy to move so they painted it like a space capsule

My son came over to help me change the oil and fuel filters on my truck. Because of my recent total knee replacement, it's still hard for me to crawl around underneath the truck. I'll have to talk him through a lot of it, since he's more of a computer geek than a mechanic. But we'll get it done. Just waiting on the wife to finish making us a breakfast before we start.
