Just waiting for a couple of docs from Canada to do ours. I dread it, but we already know we will be paying. The Fed isn’t too bad, but Minnesota kills us ever year it seems. I was going to retire this year but I can’t really afford to right now (I’m an eternal optimist). I just got home from the grocery store with four bags of groceries. The kid could have gotten it into three but they’re careful with eggs. Cost me just under $90. Eggs are $10 (if you can find them. The shelves were nearly empty), butter is $9, bread $4.39. All I bought were necessities.

seriously...do not "fully" retire.....talk with your taxman, on how much you can earn at your age, and just work those few hours each week...
1) sure, in retirement you get to wake up late... i don't i still get up at 4-4:30 every day
2) you get to get things done around the house, or annoy your spouse.......like i do
3) you get to make all your appointments..........like i always did
4) you get to go to the range when you want, and most likely be the only one there........like i do a lot
5) you get to take naps as often as you want..........like i do all day long
6) but you will get bored, will want some extra spending/mad money.........like i do
if you "fully retire" like i did, and you want to get back to work for a few hours a week......like me...??
you might get rejected like me, cuz you're too old........like me..........
your employer "may have" shorter work hours for you, they may not have to pay any health benefits (a bonus for them) as you will be on Medicare, and you can get your health benefits free, like i do
retirement sucks...most days.......before and after my naps......
