Whatcha Watching?

Starting “The Creator” on Hulu.
That is absolutely OUTSTANDING! I plan to see it again very soon. It's fun to spot all the various "influences" and homages, but it's still a great story told well.

I finally got to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I take back every snotty thing I've ever said about Tarantino--this was a masterpiece in so many ways. We should have a whole thread discussing it sometime.

I've also been watching Fargo Season 5 on Hulu. Far and away the best Fargo of all, including the original movie. Every episode has been better than the last (one more yet to come). Don't watch it if you don't like shows with STRONG women--this one has at least three, maybe four (not sure if the FBI agent's role is big enough to qualify, but she's excellent, too). It's so well done that I can't even get upset that all the bad guys are straight white men. In this case, they all have it coming, as they say. ;)

saw a new movie on Amazon Prime, called.....Role Play...starring Kaley Cuoco

she is supposed to be a hired assassin, married, and her husband never knew it...

supposed to have "some comedy" or thriller/action, it is billed as such..........some action, not much thrills

i couldn't find anything to laugh or chuckle about, but, other than a couple of times, of seeing her legs....my eyes lit up.

it "killed" some time, but bored me more than anything else.

I have to admit I’ve been enjoying REACHER on Prime( yeah I know ) season one was really good. Season two is getting there. I like that this guy is a lot more like the character in the books, make Tom Cruise look like a midget! Love the scene where he smashes cinder blocks over the bad guys knoggin.

When I saw the Jack Reacher movies I hadn't read any of the books. I thought they were ok. Until I read about 15 of the books. Then I realized Tom Cruise was the worst possible Jack Reacher.

I like the series very much. Just watched the latest episode last night.

Mrs Greener and I are hooked on the series. Ritchson is a local boy who went to a local high school here. His Dad was career Air Force. He was first noticed as a contestant on American Idol. I am waiting to see if he sings. But he doesn't have to do anything because he is baaaadassss.

He was also bullied as a kid. He told a story about one of his bullies seeing him years later and asking to take a picture with him. He said " The bully forgot, but I didn't". lol

I am flipping between Vikings and Northern Exposure right now. Vikings when I'm fired up and want to feel badass...viking warrior women role model stuff (my inner teenager needs that ;) ). Northern Exposure when I need to lighten up. I love looking back at Cicely, Alaska way back then.

Katheryn Winnick plays the Viking Warrior Woman exceptionally well. Demure at times, and a ferocious warrior when called for. She carries her role as a warrior deputy in Big Sky as well. She's one to ride the river with.

I watched the first two or three seasons of Big Sky and enjoyed it, but last year, Reba McEntyre kind of put me off the whole thing. Is that still on? I'm not watching much network TV this year. I even "fired" The Rookie and Chicago PD, and The Voice isn't worth watching without Blake Shelton.
