I use kosher salt for cooking, and either sea salt or Himalayan salt to season, depending on the mood I’m in. I really like the flavor of the Himalayan salt.if this was asked earlier, i did not see it...
does anyone use either as a table item or cooking ingredient....."Himalayan Pink salt"..???
i am reading where there are "some health benefits" in this salt, over regular processed white/table salt...
yes, same amount of sodium, as white salt, but supposedly helps balance our ph balance and promote stable blood sugar levels......
it just does not have iodine like white salt...
i just bought a 1 lbs bottle at wally's world, and even there, it was over $6.00
by the way, it has a "pretty good" flavor to it....
i pretty much only use salt on my eggs, or on my burgers, if i am frying them up, along with black pepper.
thanks in advance.
Sounds yummy !Pot roast seasoned with garlic powder, season salt, a hint of black pepper, Lipton meaty onion soup mix, diced baby carrots, sliced celer, and a diced skin on russet potato. Four hours on high in the crock pot.
Roast was taken out at three hours to finish cooking less the heat, and veggies left to finish cooking in the pot.
I believe I have found the exact recipe that K&W Cafeteria used to cook their roast beef.
So good it's a shame to lose it to the process of digestion........
That's way better than any bachelor dinner I would ever have would be. Probably be pizza rolls. Or Guinness.Dinner for one.
